Biography

Rachael Wotherspoon is a New Zealand Actress who trained at The Groundlings Theatre & School. Rachael began Acting in her native Auckland as a child, studying Drama and Theatre at school. Straight out of High School Rachael began working Full-time to help support family during a tough time, while putting herself through Drama School and Acting Classes Part-time; studying under acclaimed Coaches Peter Feeney, Vicky Yiannoutsos and Miranda Harcourt. Rachael continued to dedicate herself to her craft, studying at The Auckland Performing Arts Center, The Actors Lab and The Actors Program in New Zealand, followed by landing roles local New Zealand Dramas, National TV commercials and Film. Rachael moved to Los Angeles in 2017, she booked an International Skechers Commercial and multiple Independent Films including Something Borrowed (2017) and Lapsed (2017) in the first few months and also began focusing extensively on developing her skills as a Filmmaker; Writing, Producing and Editing Award Winning works - including a 'Best Web Series' Award at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival for her original work For Your Birthday (2017), earning high industry praise. In between shooting Rachael continues to dedicate her time to honing her craft, attending workshops and training under acclaimed Acting Coaches Larry Moss, Joseph Pearlman, Bob Corff and at the legendary Groundlings Theatre & School in Los Angeles - where she quickly progressed through the Groundlings Core Track. Rachael has gained multiple awards on the Indie Film circuit and participated in various festivals with her original work, including Raindance Film Festival and Roger Corman's "Corman Quarantine Film Festival". Rachael Marie Wotherspoon has Scottish ancestry, spent her childhood between New Zealand and Australia. She comes from an Artistic family, but is the only Actor in her family. Rachael sings and paints in her spare time and she is an active Human Rights, Women's Health and Animal Rights advocate.
