Shayain Lakhani

Shayain Lakhani is a First-Generation Muslim-American Writer and Director. He aims to share the stories of life in America through the eyes of Muslim-Americans and those within the South Asian community. Not only does his passion lie in directing films that involve the blend of cultural and American identities, Shayain entails to merge them into studio pictures as well. His accolades include 7 Southeast Emmy's, a selection into the International Jubilee Film Festival, and winning the 2019 Coca-Cola Regal Films Competition. Shayain has finished principal photography on his next film starring Sarah Shahi (Person of Interest, City on a Hill) and Karren Karagulian (The Florida Project, Tangerine).
