Shavvon Lin

Biography

Shavvon Lin is an actress, singer, lyricist, and developing screenwriter. She started singing and dancing ballet on the stage since she was 9. At 16, she became the youngest torch bearer at the 2010 Asian Games. During her undergraduate study at UCLA, she expanded her exploration in performing arts by founded an a Capella on campus, working as a News Anchor and bilingual TV Host at a local network, performing in experimental musicals and etc. Shavvon released her first single "Love Me Later" in 2020. She had two songs featured in China's hit TV series First Half of My Life (2017). She also collaborated with rap group Straight Fire Gang on the song "24 Years." When Shavvon is not in front of the camera, she loves to read and write. As the founder and co-editor of an upcoming book series "New Wave of Acting", She selected four American acting books that inspired her as an actress, and translated them herself to the Chinese version (Publishing in 2021). She grew up in Guangzhou, China until the age of 18, when she came to study at the University of California, Los Angeles.
