Biography

Born to Levi Martinez, a lawyer and Clotilda(nee) Lobato a teacher March 30, 1957 in Pueblo, Colorado, she is of crypto-Jewish, Spanish and French heritage. She is one of seven siblings. Sister of Emilio Martinez-Communion Films and aunt of musician,Robert Reid Gillies. After completing her education at the UCHSC in Denver, Colorado, she ventured out to Los Angeles where she produced PSA's , Health education videos, was a script supervisor and screenwriter. She produced the documentary "Guadalupe' based upon the racial tensions in this small northern California community and the Guadalupe Mural Project, a work of SPARC and muralist Judy Baca. Taking off time to raise her two sons, she has returned to film production and screen writing under Plantation Productions.
