Biography

Abigail Joanna Miller was born on May 23, 1995 in Indianapolis, Indiana to parents Laura Hodowal-Miller and Paul Miller. She has two younger siblings, Paul Miller and Johnny Miller. Abby began her onstage career at a very young age, modeling children's holiday attire on the runway as part of the Wing of the Indianapolis Ballet holiday performances of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite. Soon after she began appearing in local plays and musicals throughout central Indiana in titles such as Annie (Sophie) and Seussical the Musical. At the age of 15, Abby began seeking representation, eventually finding a home at Talent Fusion. On advice from her agents she spent time in Los Angeles on various audition circuits, eventually landing an opportunity to film a Coca Cola short between her onstage appearances in productions such as Disney's Peter Pan (Mrs. Darling), Disney's Cinderella (Charlotte), and Tim Kelly's comedic play That's the Spirit (Ruby). A passionate student of Shakespeare, Abby also competed in the National Shakespeare Competition hosted by the English Speaking Union, claiming first place in the local rounds, and first runner up in the regional rounds with a compelling performance of Portia's monologue in Act IV, Scene I of The Merchant of Venice. Abby's passion for performing onstage soon translated to directing and stage management. In 2014 she stepped into the Director's chair for the first time as the AD for a regional production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma!, wherein she also trained and served as weapons master for all firearms. In 2018 she returned as the Assistant Stage Manager for a regional production of Disney's Mary Poppins. She also spent time working and volunteering at both the Palladium and the Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre in central Indiana where she facilitated educational workshops with actors and actresses such as Sutton Foster, Telly Leung, and Ben Davis.
