Biography

Working to break the standards and overwhelming scene that is the comic book world, Heather started working on a graphic novel and then turned those significant stories into scripts called DUAL. Growing up in rural Ohio, she started writing early and went to college and to her English degree. While studying at the University of Akron she wrote for her college paper and earned her degree in English with a minor in Popular Literature and Film as she interned with the Greater Cleveland film commission. Moving then to Scene magazine (Village Voice Media at the time) where Heather was an article contributor and salesperson. Sales lead to many advances in her career, but through it all she kept writing. She has two books one on Amazon and one on Smashbooks; The Forgone Few who Loved Alana Moore, is a collection of shorts and her film Tossed is based on one story. The other is a collection of poetry titled To Walk in Joyful Shoes: Short Poems to Live By. Short stories lead to bigger things and now Heather has not only placed but won several Film Festival awards for her scripts (Coming Home, Fade to Black) and finished short film The Paramour. Film Festivals like; Red Dirt Film Festival, Trinity Film Festival, The Golden Script Competition, Film Daily Screenwriting Competition, Sands, Hyperwave, LA Live Film Fest, Utah Film Festival and more. Heather also hosts a podcast through Evergreen Podcasts and Gravitas Ventures called Behind the Doc on all podcast platforms. As of right now Heather is actively working on scripts for various projects and independent filmmakers popular in filmmaking today.
