Biography

Makayla Patton was born in San Diego, California and split her time growing up between the East Coast and the sunny West Coast. From a young age Makayla was drawn to local talent shows, performing in school and community theatre. At age 16, she moved to New York City to pursue her passion and begin formal training in acting. Makayla possesses depth from her experiences and her ability to connect with people, authentically expressing emotions and telling a great story is evident throughout her work. Makayla studied acting and film production at New York City's formerly known 'School of Film and Television', currently renamed 'The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts'. During her summers off from college she enrolled in James Franco's Studio 4 Meisner Technique classes. In 2015 Makayla graduated from The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, where she earned her AA in Film and Television Performance. In 2016 Makayla was accepted into James Franco's Masterclass where she and selected other students created a feature film funded by James, titled "Horrortime". Since 2016, Makayla has worked hard at honing her craft for acting - as well as film production. She works full time on set as a production assistant. Her TV credits include shows like Gotham, Blue Bloods, Hunters, Ray James, Law & Order SVU, and Blindspot. Aside from acting, Makayla is passionate about writing and producing. She has produced three short films, and has written a handful of others. In 2020 she launched her first short film, Happy Rush! from her production company 'Patton Productions'. Makayla says, "Over the last five years I've learned so much about the industry, from all aspects; and I'm excited to see what the next five bring!". As of March 2020 Makayla official booked her first co-star role on primetime television.
