Laura Carreira

Laura Carreira is a Portuguese filmmaker based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Examining the conflict between the individual and the collective is at the core of Laura's work. Her films call for a renewed interest in bringing marginalised characters to the screen, with a special focus in exploring the representation of work in cinema. From 2009 to 2012 she studied Audio-visual Communication at the António Arroio School of Arts in Lisbon. In 2016 she graduated with a BA (Hons) in Film Directing at the Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh.
