Arun Chidambaram has won 2 prestigious REMI awards for his movie 'Dream Factory (Kanavu Variyam)'. Arun won the 'Platinum REMI award' for the Best Theatrical Feature Film' and a 'Silver REMI award' for a song 'Stone or Sand (Kalla Manna)' featuring in the film. 'Dream Factory (Kanavu Variyam)' was also selected as the "Audience Favorite Movie" at 49th WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival, 2016. Arun Chidambaram is the first South Indian Director to win 2 Prestigious Remi awards. Arun won 6 International awards for his movie 'Dream Factory (Kanavu Variyam)'. 'Dream Factory' emerged as the winner in '17th Bare Bones International Film & Music festival', 'Los Angeles Film and Script Festival' and 'National Science Film Festival', organized by the Government of India. Arun also won the personal accolades from the former President of India Dr.APJ. Abdul Kalam and other top Govt. officials. He completed his Masters in USA and worked for JP Morgan Chase in Chicago. Arun quit his lucrative job and returned to Chennai, India to pursue his dream and passion. 'Dream Factory (Kanavu Variyam)' is his first movie.
