Paisley Valentine Walsh

Paisley Valentine Walsh (Born 1989) Vermont, is a filmmaker and visual artist who currently resides and works in London. Paisley is best known for her daydream- flavoured work on celluloid, which blends the boundaries between fact and fiction and dialogues with memory identity and trauma. Paisley holds an MA in English Literature from the University of Glasgow and an MFA with distinction from the London Film School. Her directorial debut, Birch travelled around the international festival circuit where it was nominated and won several awards including the BSC's Emerging Cinematographer's Award, London, 2018 as well as Best Graduation Film at the Hamptons International Film Festival, New York, 2019. Utilising prize funding, Paisley went on to shoot a documentary about surrogate mothers in England, Other Mothers. She is also a member of Directors UK, and BFI NETWORK x BAFTA Crew and is in development for her feature film. As producer and assistant director Paisley's work has competed at festivals such as La Cinefondation, Cannes Film Festival 2018, and International Film Festival Rotterdam, 2020.
