Pranav Harihar Sharma

A teetotaler,nonsmoker, vegetarian Pranav Harihar Sharma was born in India and holds an MBA degree in marketing. Right from his childhood he was interested in art & creative side of life. While Pranav was in his final year of MBA, he joined a small advertising agency, in Indore as a summer trainee in client servicing department. That's when he realized that he wants to pursue his career in advertising and that's too in creative. Post graduation, he joined another agency as a proofreader. While in Indore, he won First Cannes Yahoo International Big idea chair for the short animation Film 'You Vs. Him', he wrote and directed for green awareness. As a reward he attended Cannes Lions Advertising Festival as yahoo delegate and got a couple of job offers from the biggies of Indian advertising. He joined Rediffusion YR Mumbai and later DDB Mudra, Mumbai. Thereafter he worked with agencies like JWT Delhi, Rediffusion YR (delhi), Linen Lintas, Delhi, in different capacities. His last role was with Grey Worldwide as Executive Creative director, heading Delhi branch . Pranav has won more than 150 National and International advertising creativity & effectiveness awards like, Adfest, Newyork Festivals, London International Awards, Cannes, Goafest,Mirchi Kaan, Olive Crown, EFFIEES, EMVIES, so far. In the year 2011 he was named as Ad club Mumbai's Young Achiever. So far,Pranav has written & made more than 50 advertising films for the brands across the horizon. He is a regular speaker in communication Institutes and workshops and has written screenplays and lyrics for advertising and short films. For a short time he worked as an independent writer and filmmaker too. His campaign for Dabur India, 'Brave & Beautiful' (For Female Cancer Survivors) has gone viral, clocking more than 50 million views on social media. This is the only campaign that won a lone Grand prix in Goafest 2015. This year, he is chosen as one of the Adfest-Fabulous Four Directors 2015. The short film, 'Watermelon', written & directed by him is selected in this year's Cannes Film Festival 2015 Short Films Corner, 8th International Documentary & Short Films Festival, Kerala (Competition Section), Jagran Film Festival 2015 (Jagran Shorts), Indisches Film Festival 2015, Stuttgart, Germany and Kolkata International Short Film Festival 2015 (Official Selection) . Pranav is associated as freelance director with Film Farm Mumbai, for public service and social projects. Right Now Pranav is working on his next venture-A Hindi Feature Film.
