Brenda Ogbukaa-Garuba

Brenda Chidinma Ogbuka'a is a freelance screenwriter based in Abuja, Nigeria. She got her big break when two of her scripts won Best Screenplay in two categories in the 2014 Nigeria Integrity Film Awards (HOMEVIDA). The scripts were turned into the short films 'Money Makeover' and 'Homecoming'. Her first feature-length screenplay 'Sima's World' (filmed as 'Beauty of the Mind') was nominated for Best Screenplay in the 2014 ZAFAA Global Awards. Brenda also has television credit as part of the writing team on the Africa Magic Hausa series titled 'Ali' and 'How Fo Do?'.
