Richard was born in Kankakee IL to Peggy Ashmore and Richard H Berns. Married Amy Scoggin in 1996 and together have four Children (Austin, Trevor, Megan, and Camden). Rich has been in law enforcement for over 24 years, and resides just south of Chicago Illinois. Related to longtime Hollywood stuntman Merritt Yohnka.
