Kaja Pecnik is a London based actress, originally from Slovenia. After high school she attended Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana and gained BA in Sociology and French. She made her stage debut at Siti Teater in Ljubljana in a lead role as Mila in children's play The Real Princess (2012) and made her debut in short film as a ballet teacher in short film Réveil (2013) directed by Edina Dyachenko.

She graduated in professional acting in 2015 at Cygnet Theatre as 1 and Jamie in two back to back plays Nine and The Last Nickle, directed by Jemma Gross. Credits during training: Phosion in The Triumph of Love (2015), Mrs Betterton in Playhouse Creatures (2015), Blanche Ingram in Jane Eyre (2013), Sir Andrew Aguecheek in Twelfth Night (2014), Red Queen in Alice Through The Looking Glass (2014), etc.
Kaja made her debut as an opera/musical theatre singer in recital In Love With Love (2014). She worked with directors and teachers such as Martin Ware (Nina Gold Casting), Ivana Chubbuck, Jemma Gross, Jacquie Crago and Mary King.
