Mihai Fulger is a film journalist and film critic living in Bucharest, Romania. Since 2002, he has published many articles on film-related subjects: Reviews, festival notes, director profiles, essays, interviews with filmmakers, reviews of cinema books in several publications. His first book, a volume of interviews about "The 'New Wave' of Romanian Cinema" (2006), was awarded with the 'George Littera' Prize of Romania's Film Critics Association in 2007. He has translated and edited several film books. He is a member of the Film Critics Association within the Romanian Filmmakers Union (Uniunea Cineastilor din Romania - UCIN) and of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI). He has served as selector, programmer and jury member in several film festivals, in Romania and abroad, and he has been involved in the organization of local ones. He has been a FIPRESCI jury member for festivals in Romania, Poland, Latvia, France, South Korea and Germany (64th Berlinale 2014). In 2016 he was the coordinator of the Romanian stand at the European Film Market (Berlin International Film Festival). Fulger is currently the director of Romania's National Film Archive.
