Biography

Petar Bojovic is a Serbian-New Zealand independent film maker. Petar was born in Nis, during the late 1980s in the former Yugoslavia. He would later move to New Zealand with his family. He attended the Victoria University of Wellington, in Wellington New Zealand, majoring in media studies and political science and would later go on to complete a Master of Arts in sociology at the University of Sydney, in Sydney Australia. Petar began his career in the media industry, working in post production at some of Australia's major television networks. He has since spent time at various post-production houses working in their editorial departments. His directorial debut came with the short film Radicalized, which was nominated for the Best Microfilm award, at the Independent Days Film Festival in Germany. Petar has an apt from story telling, drawing narratives from some of his own experiences but as well as a placing key social issues at the forefront of his story telling. With a back ground in post-production, as a director Petar is able to envision the full story before it's completion.
