David C. Connolly is the founder of Films By David. Under this umbrella, in association with Black Gold Productions, he has created notable short films such as Manny and the Bell as well as Mugger B Gone. He is currently in the process of two projects: working on a short film Second Chance and Veterans Painting Club, a reality show about war vets learning practical skills through oil painting lessons.
David C. Connolly is committed to bringing creative entertainment to the public with important messages about society and how we relate to one another. With his short Manny and the Bell, he delves into the mind of a washed up boxer. In the span of a few minutes, we see a fully developed character struggling with his current situation. This is by no means a depressing scenario, it is full of comical expression which ends with some good old fashioned physical humor. Veterans Painting Club is a project near and dear to David's heart. With a goal in mind to document the veteran experience while teaching a valuable trade to these fallen soldiers.
David's latest project is a dramatic short film. Second Chance features a father and his estranged son who spend the day together before being "taken" to see Frankie. Films By David is proud to be working with Dan Braverman (IMBd), David Scott Heck (IMBd), Brandon Pentecost (IMBd), with Emmy Awarding Cinematographer Larry McKee (IMBd) as Director of Photography.
