Oprah Oyugi

Oprah Oyugi is a Kenyan Writer/Director/Editor currently based in Eldoret, Kenya. Oprah has had the privilege of working on multiple roles in the Kenyan film industry such as a Production Assistant on Netflix' SENSE 8 Season 2 and a Unit Manager on critically acclaimed, award winning Feature film, SUPA MODO. She was a writer on LUSALA which recently premiered at the 3rd NBO Film Festival and on COUNTRY QUEEN, TV Series which is currently in production and set to screen on Netflix. She made her directorial debut as Writer/Director/Editor on her short film, THE BETTER OPTION, which is currently doing festival rounds. Oprah enjoys telling stories that examine human behaviour and relationships. Her mission is to bring Kenyans and Africans together by telling stories that depict the realities of their lives, authentically.
