Yorick Van Schandevijl

Yorick was born in Asse, Flanders, Belgium in 1996. He started making Lego stop-motion video's with his first Nokia cell phone he got on his 12th birthday. Later on his dad bought him a web-cam for the pictures for the stop-motion and built a wooden box for him as background for his Lego video's. (You can still find these video's on Youtube on various channels. One of his video's has 60.316 views on 03/05/2016!) In the 3rd year of secondary school he chose to do Audio-Visual Arts and gained his diploma three years later with a prize for history class. Today he's in high school continuing Audio-Visual Arts. You can check some of his early fun fiction videos on his Dutch Youtube-channel 'TheCameraBackstage'. You can find his new video's/movies on the channel 'Ception Film Productions'. Besides film is he active in photography, writing, poetry, music, languages, philosophy and politics.
