Originally born in Colombia, Laura worked in the film industry in Argentina before landing in Los Angeles to pursue a Masters Degree in Film and TV Production from Loyola Marymount University (LMU). She has worked for Netflix show, The Hollywood Masters and O.W.N Emmy-Award winning reality show, Home Made Simple, as well as produced multiple promotional videos and short films focusing on stories of human endurance and perseverance. In 2017, she was selected among 19 other latino filmmakers for a 10-day scholarship exclusively for US-based, hispanic film professionals known as the Tomorrow's Filmmakers Today Program, sponsored by The AMPAS (Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences), HBO, UNAM LA and the Hola Mexico Film Festival in Los Angeles. Her short documentary Jah and narrative short A New Beginning will be broadcasting on ShortsTV channel in Europe, North and South America in 2019.
