Abeeral Thapa

Mr. Abeeral Thapa was born in 1984 June 28 in kavrepalanchok,Nepal. He has earned master's degree in mass communication and journalism from purbanchal university ,biratnagar ,Nepal and also earned master's degree for Sociology from Tribhuvan university ,Kathmandu ,Nepal. His certified Name is Pralhad Thapa but he is known by his pen name Abeeral thapa . He is principal of Polygon college ,leading private media college which offers masters degree in mass communication and journalism. Mr. Thapa is an alumna of SUSI (scholar), 2016,where he convened with other scholars working in various media and universities to discuss changing trend and challenges of media and media institutions . He is also columnist in Kantipur Publications now and his regular column named "Muktaaakash" on National Weekly "Saptahik" is widely appreciated. He is chairperson of Awaken production pvt. Ltd which produced Nepali Movie"bulbul" and won national award for best director and best actress in 2018/2019 and also selected from Nepal for 92nd academy award 2019. He is well known lyricist who also wrote lyrics for saarc film festival , silver medal winning movie "Saanghuro" in 2013. The same movie also won National award for best movie of 2013 . He also writes articles related to social and youth issues which are widely appreciated. He also writes travelogue now and often. At past he was program producer in sagarmatha television and Avenues television and also worked for magazines and newspapers.. He is active media person working in various positions of media since 2000..
