Jessica Tillman

Biography

Jessica Tillman is a black American actress. She is known for Atlanta as Christina, Van's childhood friend. Her most recent work includes a John Deere commercial, the face of Novant Health, and Simone in a short film called, One of the Good Guys, featuring on Rizzle. Her most notable work in commercials are Papa John's Pizza, Biltmore Estates, Food Lion, and TV/Radio VoiceOver spots for a Duke Energy. Tillman studied acting as a child at the Children's' Theatre of Charlotte. At the age of 5, she signed with the Jan Thompson Agency (JTA). She studied three years of acting in high school and participated in a summer program at the Carolina Actors Studio Theatre (C.A.S.T.) She later attended Winston-Salem State University graduating with honors and being a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She majored in Political Science minored in History with a concentration in Public Administration. Later, she became a student at SIT Graduate Institute in Brattleboro, VT and studied Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). She completed a student teacher internship at Manhattan International Public High School in NYC. Tillman studied acting again at T. Schreiber Studio and Theatre (TSS) and graduated from the One Year Conservatory Program in May 2015. She performed in The Art of Dining, The Dining Room and The Rimers of Eldritch at TSS. Tillman also played Halima in Aladdin for the Galli Children's Theatre in the summer of 2015 in NYC. She has completed a VO Masterclass and VO workshops at Groundcrew Studios. She also studied with Lon Bumgarner at Film Actors Studio in Charlotte, NC. She is represented by Marilyn's Agency for the southeast region in TV/Film and Commercials, and Print Modeling. She is also managed by Cooley Management for Modeling.
