Nida Fatima Zaidi

Nida Fatima Zaidi is an accomplished Television Producer & Director working in the industry for over ten years. At Pakistan Television she established her skills in directing multiple genera of TV programs ranging from documentary to music and drama. Her talent in directing documentary & docu-drama has been acclaimed by National Television (PTV) with four nominations as Best Producer for the years 2006-2010 and the Awards for Best Producer for the years 2007-2008. In 2012, her short film New Way to Peace a story of a nine year old Indian child visiting Pakistan, received Exemplary Contribution Award for Peace Promotion, by Jang Group & Nutshell Forum. A famous educational youth series Apna Maqam Paida Ker- Carve Your Destiny directed by her, aired for over a year on Pakistan Television in 2012-13. Her documentary Beysamar (Unrewarded) based on economic empowerment of women received International Labor Organization Award, by the Govt. of Canada in 2014. From 2015 on, she has concentrated her focus towards directing musical videos and drama, while intending to direct more short films. An activist at heart Zaidi believes in sensitizing audiences on issues of social justice and equality. Using powerful technique of storytelling on humanistic themes: women, children, labor, peace & diversity etc. her work underpins the causes she's concerned about.
