Biography

Jane Taylor (nickname Kini) Kini Taylor is an MSW, CSW. She obtained a Bachelor's Degree of Integrated Studies in Communications, Spanish, and Psychology from Weber State University and a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah, graduating summa cum laude. She was nominated most outstanding student and is a member of The National Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi by election of the Chapter at The University of Utah. Kini loves writing and has written One Day I Fell Awake - a book, relating her journey, and Gluten Freedom - A Journey Through Celiac Dis-ease. She enjoys writing poetry, and as well Kini has written and illustrated a children's book, Di the Dragonfly. Kini writes songs and she sang for several years with the Utah Symphony Chorus as a high soprano. Kini represented the state of Texas as Mrs. Greater Houston International and Mrs. Greater Houston USA. As well, she was first runner-up to Mrs. Vermont. Kini has numerous interests including acting and she enjoyed performing in her first feature-length film role in "Chasing Home." She has written, produced, and been featured in several iReports on CNN.com and HLN.com. She created an iReport for CNN and entered it in the Addiction iReport contest for the Jane Velez-Mitchell show Issues. It was chosen amongst thousands as a winner and aired on national television. Her iReport "The Riverman" was featured on the front page of CNN.com and CNN Mobile. Kini has competed in numerous 5k and 10k races, she loves trail running, and has run seven marathons. Kini motivates people to turn stumbling blocks into stepping-stones by using the analogy of a marathon to inspire them to keep going no matter what life throws in their path. She enjoys aiding clients to drop their stories, converting their seeming tragedies into their very strengths. Kini has worked in sales, mental health therapy, addiction treatment centers, medical social work, crisis work, and hospice, as well as business, personal, and life coaching. She has counseled and coached clients dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, codependency, addiction, physical health problems, familial problems, and more. She believes that being fully present with clients and truly hearing where they are coming from is essential. Kini completed Dr. Eric Pearl's Reconnective Healing Course. She was additionally trained by Dolores Cannon and is a certified Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique practitioner. Kini completed an extensive training in The Work of Byron Katie and as well completed Landmark Education's ILP Public Speaking Program. Kini became interested in Kambô and after studying with a Shaman for a year, she enjoys serving Kambô to clients enabling them to heal at a deeper level emotionally, physically and spiritually. Kini is a Qi Gong practitioner and she completed Master Chunyi Lin's Spring Forest Qi Gong Course for Health. Kini studied with Colin Tipping on Radical Forgiveness and she is trained and certified in the ancient Hawaiian healing modality, Ho'oponopono. Kini also loves photography, cooking, and yoga.
