Tarek Ziad

Biography

Tarek received his degree in Theater from Yale University in 2020 on full scholarship, with Honors, and as a finalist for the Louis Sudler Prize in The Performing and Creative Arts. Tarek has appeared in a variety of shows, from the iconic role of Belize in Angels in America, to the Subveritas premiere at Crowded Fire Theater, to his original solo piece Laughing at Crying Babies. He's trained under world renowned professors from The Yale School of Drama including James Bundy and Chris Bayes, and honed his skills as the director of The Exit Players, Yale's oldest improv group. Undergrad is also where Tarek discovered his love for comedy through his 2016 viral YouTube video, which landed him on Yahoo News, NBC Nightly, HelloGiggles, and more. Tarek would go on to produce many more skits, his most recent being a commission for the Yale Alumni Nonprofit Alliance. As a stand-up comedian, he's performed across the country & virtually, and was a "Yale's Last Comic Standing" two-time finalist. Tarek now lives in Brooklyn, where he auditions through manager Tam Sackman at Gasparro Management and agent Stacye Mayer at WSM Talent and performs stand-up, most recently in Colt Coeur Theater's Holiday Craptacular and in his backyard, where he hosts fundraiser shows for mutual aid organizations to crowds of 60+ that have raised over $800 a night.
