Shawna Abston

Shawna is a Los Angeles native who discovered her love for acting at a young age when she was cast in her first theater production at age 5. In her late teens she spent several years as a "background actor" in Hollywood and retains fond memories of those great adventures, including being chased by missile-weilding aliens in "Power Rangers" and disco dancing for 17 hours straight in "Boogie Nights" (ouch). Shawna recently moved from Virginia to Las Vegas and was delighted to discover a thriving film industry in Southern Nevada. She soon jumped into working on independent films (both in front of and behind the camera) and is also busy writing her first play. She can be seen onstage in the upcoming production of "Farragut North" at the Las Vegas Little Theatre. As of 2017 Shawna is living in the Washington DC area and has just signed on to work behind the scenes for several independent films being shot in Virginia over the next two years. She is also involved with a local theater and was surprised to find that running the followspot is a hell of a lot of fun.
