Yoel Ortega Garrido

Yoel Ortega G. was born in Havana, Cuba and moved to Canada in 2010. Since 2005 he has been working in the film industry in several roles such as Director, Director assistant, Screen writer, Producer , Editor and Set Dresser. In 2009 he participated with his original screenplay "Pablo" at the New Filmmakers Festival in Cuba in which he won one of the prizes of best screenplay. In 2011 he started working at Real World Media/ Real World Films Inc. as an Editor. Currently he is working as a Set Dresser on IATSE TV shows as well as on his own short film entitled: "Close Up".
