João Lourenço

Born in Porto, North of Portugal, in 1990, João Lourenço has been in love with storytelling since he can remember. At a very young age, he was known by his family for his inventive lies and stories that somehow explained why something was broken or out of place. Enrolled at the Portuguese Catholic University and obtained a Degree in Sound & Image, and later, a MBA in Film & TV. His first short film, "Bom dia, Alegria!" has made the film festival circuit and has been award with the VGIK Award at the Blow-Up International Film Fest in Chicago, on December 2015. He also works as a editor on different commercial and institutional projects, but his focus is writing and directing.
