Nia astutely delivers the story life of each character with unfettered realism. In Jay Baruchel's horror, Random Acts of Violence (2019), Nia plays Megan and within the confines of this smaller role she skillfully brings the audience to her terror. Nia is a recipient of Best Ensemble Cast for the much-fêted Boys vs. Girls (2019) Canadian Independent film. In a principal role smartly delivered Nia plays Ginny, a street wise teen, in Jonas Åkerlund's Polar (2019). For LMN/Lifetime, as Ashley in My Mom's Darkest Secrets (2019) and as Miya in Psycho Prom Queen (2018) Nia gives vulnerable dramatic performances.
In the Syfy Halloween special Dark Haven High (2017) Nia plays Maddy along side the prepossessing Julia Tomasone. In the Canadian/Australian TV series, Oh Yuck! (2017) Nia plays Pristine O'Clean. Playing this smart science geek, Nia gives us 26 episodes of crisp wit and astutely timed humor.
While developing her craft Nia took on many roles in short films, including the four-time nominated short, Small Displays of Chaos (2015). At 14, an age well below the student body average, Nia was invited to join the prestigious Actor's Foundry in Vancouver where she studied under the esteemed Matthew Harrison. Along with Matthew Harrison Nia's early mentors were the incomparable Dolores Drake and Biz Studio's Michael Bean. Nia also spent five summers at the Bard's Young Shakespeareans honing her craft with performances in The Winter's Tale, among others.
