Robert Roy Jackson was born on the 11th of November 1972 in a small town called Quairading in Western Australia. He has two siblings, his parents moved them all to settle in Beverley W.A where most of the large Jackson family had also settled years earlier. Robs parents split early in his school years and his mother moved him and his two siblings to settle in the city of Perth Western Australia where he spent most of his time growing up swimming and surfing along the stunning coastline. After primary school Robert attended Scotch College and graduated in 1989. He wasn't acting throughout his school years so he found himself somewhat direction-less afterwards which led him to menial jobs. In 1994 Robs life changed dramatically when at the very young age of 21 he became a father to a daughter and the very next year a son. After only four and half years Robs relationship broke down and he became a soul parent while he was still only 23. Raising his two children on his own was priority number one but acting was always a burning desire. He attended The Actors Workshop drama classes from 2004 to 2009 where he then moved onto The Blue Room advanced drama school. He has appeared in a large selection of short films including Blue Tide (2009) and The Road Not Taken (2010) where he took on challenging roles for both. His career picked up steam as he appeared in a number of films shot in and around Perth. In 2013 he played Adam in an original play by Tiffany Barton called "The Garden" and towards the end of the year he was Jesus and Matthias in the very well liked "The Last Days of Judas Iscariot" by Stephen Adly Guirgis. Soon afterwards, Robert decided to pack up his life and drive himself and his two children across the three lower states of Australia, eventually arriving in Melbourne, Victoria, where he has now settled and become a major player in the film industry. After a very successful 2014, being involved in over eight films, including An-i-mus (2014) where he was introduced to an exciting style of film making working with director Luke Creely, he then took to the stage again in a Steven Dawson play called The Gathering of Vampires. In preparation for the film Playground (2015), he once again found himself right at home molding the character of "Stewart" working with the talented cast and crew at Primitive Films. _Jimmy (III)(2015)_ is Roberts most recent film which was written and directed by Nathan Itter and tells the unjust story of the imprisonment of an aboriginal man. He also attends the studios at "The Film Space" in St Kilda Victoria where he works with other actors under the direction of Aleksi Vellis. Robert has also written a short titled "Loo" and a lengthy feature about his own experiences called "Daze". In 2016 he played lead and supporting roles in four films including L is for Liar and Syncopation (2017). He was also part of the television series Murder Calls Australia (2017) for channel 9. 2017 began brilliantly when he got the call to be a guest on the long running television series Neighbours (1985). He played the role of wealthy businessman Phillip Hodgeman.
