Ivo Loyola

Ivo Loyola is a young eighteen years old filmmaker. At a beginning he committed himself to arts but after not being accepted at film schools he began searching new paths. He has now directed many short films, all low budget and starting from the simplest. His style has evolved and now his work reflects social themes which come from the alienation he feels for his traditionalist extended family. These matters are portrayed always with a certain degree of strangeness; Ivo Loyola alters reality in order to show common issues at a style bounded to the illusory.
