Maria Albani-Cook

Biography

Maria Albani Cook is a native of Long Island, New York, where she began developing her lifelong love for music in her early childhood years. Her father initiated her training with her first voice and piano lessons, instilling in her an ear for the complex beauty of music. With the addition of flute lessons, she continued instructional practice throughout her childhood. Maria first performed publicly at age 5, honing her skills both in Biblical shows, and by singing with her family. After these experiences, she decided she wanted to be a career performer at the ripe old age of 10. To pursue her dreams, Maria sought more educational training. She graduated from New York's Crane School of Music (SUNY Potsdam) with a degree in opera/musical theatre. Her performance background includes singing the National Anthem for many professional sporting events. She also has acted, danced and sung in multiple regional theater roles, such as Sally Bowles in Cabaret, and as a dancer/singer in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. In addition, Maria has participated in vocal competitions, and has modeled for multiple agencies. Maria believes that this has all been possible because of her faith and trust in God, along with the support of her loving husband, friends, and family.
