Biography

Cody Glive was born in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. In his early teens he relocated with his father to Louisbourg, Nova Scotia, Canada followed by Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada. Because of Louisbourg's isolated location; he spent many days and nights watching movies. He developed an eye for cinema and movie knowledge. Later in his high school years, he attended Sydney Academy where he studied under actor/comedian Maynard Morrison. He directed a handful of short features and was the assistant director for the academy's 2005 feature film Bueno Malo. Despite poor audience response to the films, Glive was praised for his second unit work and creative shots and angles. As a result of Bueno Malo's failure; he decided not to reprise his role behind the camera of Sydney Academy's next feature film Graham's Nightmare but did help with some uncredited second unit work. After graduation, Glive moved to Calgary, Alberta in search of work. He worked odd jobs across the country including a night watch position at Ottawa's Canadian Museum of Nature. He also worked as a passenger screening officer at an international airport. Cody eventually returned to Canada's east coast to reunite with aspiring filmmaker/screenwriter Garrett Sears. After a few months of creative differences Cody sought refuge in his hometown of Cornwall, Ontario. He still writes material on occasion and can be seen more recently in the musical docu-drama Aim For The Roses.
