Biography

Rose Riley was born in Fremantle, Western Australia, into a loving, hardworking family: older brother, Jim, and parents, Priscilla and Jack. After five years living in South Fremantle, the family moved to a very small town called Useless Loop on the beautiful West Australian coast. Four idyllic years later, the family returned to Fremantle where Rose attended John Curtin College of the Arts and thus began her pursuit of acting. After graduating high school, Rose began her training at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Three years later, she made the move from Perth to Sydney where she began her career as an actor. Rose has scored various roles in the Australian film and television industry, notably in ABC dramas Mystery Road and Total Control, and Australian indie film Book Week. More recently she worked on FX's Mr Inbetween and played Sharee, a detention center guard, in six-part drama Stateless for Matchbox Pictures. She was thrilled to be cast as Anna in the return series Back to the Rafters for Amazon Prime/7. Always passionate about theatre, Rose has also starred in various productions for major Australian theatre companies such as Sydney Theatre Company, Belvoir Street and Bell Shakespeare.
