Bob Stubbs

Born Robert Lynn Stubbs in Sacramento,California at Sutter Memorial Hospital July 14 1966. Bob Stubbs started playing drums at 11 years old.Bob received his first drum kit from Joe Von Hagel Around 1977.Joe Von Hagel was a drummer for a local Sacramento,CA. band "the TWINKEYZ".Bob Stubbs' first live performance was in the quad area at El Camino High School, where Bob attended his freshman year of High School.Bob Stubbs played unannounced with 3 other students doing cover songs of some of their combined rock music heroes.At the last song of their short set while performing the Who's "My Generation", Bob smashed up the borrowed drum kit he played on. From that performance Bob Stubbs instantly gained local popularity. In March 1981 Bob formed the band in Fair Oaks,Ca.known as "the Guttersnipes",including guitarist (Johnny Support)local Sacramento,CA. band "Child Support". In 1981 Bob left home at 14 1/2 and moved to Downtown Sacramento,CA. There,Bob Stubbs made friendships and alliances with the local punk rock scenesters & punk rock bands.Bob Stubbs played drums for local Sacramento,CA. punk rock bands such as-" The Lamos " , "Circle Kross" , "Local Chaos" , "The Vacant" & " Lockwork Range Co ". to name a few. In late December 1983,Bob moved from Sacramento,CA. to Los Angeles ,CA. then Downey,CA. & finally Fullerton,CA. by January 1984 along with his longtime friend Briton Holmstrom. Bob Stubbs , Briton Holmstrom & John Maurer started to form a band together called 'the Last Fetish" in early 1984,but before they played their first show together ,Bob Stubbs & John Maurer were recruited by Mike Ness to join his band ,'Social Distortion". Bob Stubbs lives in Phoenix,Arizona and has been influential in the Arizona Punk & Underground music scene recording with other bands there since 1985.Bob Stubbs joined Longtime Arizona Favorite and Original Rockabilly / Punk music Band "Rhythm Dragons" in November 2011.Since 2011,Bob Stubbs has released 2 C.D.albums plus 1 C.D. single as drummer with Rhythm Dragons.Rhythm Dragons will be releasing another album titled "Rhythm Dragons Reignite" already recorded with Bob Stubbs in early 2016.
