Biography

Actress Alexis Marie West was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Melinda Olaiz, a travel agent, and James West, a special needs school teacher. She was educated at Dominican High school ( Milwaukee, WI) before graduating from Klein High school ( Houston, TX) . As a child, West trained at First Stage in Wisconsin before formally training with Nikki Pederson Talent in The Woodlands, Texas as a young adult. She made her screen debut in 2013, starring in the short film, Nature Vs Man (2013), a film about the detrimental effect of man on the environment. West tried to use her talent for acting as an outlet for causes she cared about. Within the same year, West took the lead in her next film, Make it Rain ( 2013), approaching the struggles of same-sex domestic violence. West made her television debut on The Reelz Channel's, Murder Made Me Famous ( Ep. Jean Harris) ( 2016), playing a troubled high school student who gets scolded by a reckless murderer. West can be seen playing a Native American Comanche Woman on AMC's, The Son ( 2017), starring Pierce Brosnan.
