Yi Chen

Yi Chen (age 16) was born in China, then moved to first Bangkok then Rome. He was first inspired to make videos when he wrote the original script of SYNC, which was later adapted and filmed by Corridor Digital. He enjoyed seeing it coming together into a feature length film. He then started collaborating with Rocket Jump (formerly "freddiew") when they started the production of web series Video Games High School. For season 1, Yi composed music scores for a minor part of the film, and for season 2 Yi composed about half of the music featured in each episode. For VGHS season 3, Yi composed only three pieces, one of which was featured in the season finale. His explanation to this decreased contribution is the workload at school. Yi plays the piano, violin and flute, and also has strong interests in photography, mathematics and computer programming.
