Biography

Alberto Solalinde, is a Mexican Film Director who started his film career in the documentary category as the cinematographer of a documentary film called "Feel the Reggae" directed by Luis Ramos in Monterrey,NL. Mexico between 2010 - 2012. Solalinde has won different awards in recognized companies such as " CNN " and " National Geographic " for his journalistic work in the recent years. In the beginning of 2013 he decided to make his debut as a Film Director with a Documentary Film with the important topic of the Immigration Reform debated in the United States and the migration problems in the continent of America, starting the production of this documentary in April 2013. He followed the steps of the 2012 Mexican National Human Rights Award Father Alejandro Solalinde in a caravan he leaded called "Opening the doors to hope" that traveled through United States sharing the stories of migrants from different countries to all the cities they arrived and talking about the Immigration Reform with different personalities. Solalinde started working on the production of "The Price of a Dream" in June 2014 with filming taken place in USA, Nigeria, and Trinidad and Tobago in 2014 and wrapping up in April 2015. In 2015 Solalinde is working in his new documentary film about the Sherpa community in Nepal, starting preproduction and expecting to go to Nepal for the first time in June 2015 bringing some help to the Nepali community after the monster earthquake.
