Donta Tanner

Donta Romon Tanner was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri and later moved to Lawrence, KS where he graduated from Lawrence High School. He attended the University of Kansas and trained with the track and field team as a sprinter. The third eldest of nine siblings, Donta was raised by Georgia Mae Tanner, his Pentecostal-God loving mother from Mississippi. He is an avid and professional athlete, scholar, and life-long learner who excels through adversity, sincerely cares for people, loves the arts as well as the sciences and is a powerful resonating performer. Donta was commissioned as a naval officer prior to retiring from the United States Navy with 20 years of honorable service. Smart and full of energy, Donta will receive his MBA from Hawaii Pacific University in December 2017. He appreciates a good challenge and is hitting the ground running in his new acting career. He is already collaborating and creating amazing content with amazing people in the film industry, and recently had a co-starring role as a prison guard on Hawaii Five-0.
