Felipe Martinez Carbonell

Felipe Martinez Carbonell was born in Rosario, Argentina. Since childhood movies have been Felipe's greatest passion. At eighteen years old he went to the provincial school of cinema and TV in Rosario to study films. Soon Felipe started working on his own projects allowing him to form his own production company called Hemisphere Media. This was where he produced and directed commercials and institutional videos for important companies and institutions. At only twenty three years old Felipe produced, directed and edited his first short film called "Moment". "Moment" became the winner for best short film at the Latin American Film Festival for its innovative approach to the fantasy genre, for its original coral and episodic structure, and for its formal and narrative achievements. The short film was also selected by other film festivals, such as the Claremont Film Festival. His passion in film making led him to move to Los Angeles in 2013. Shortly after moving to the capital of the film industry, Felipe worked for different production companies, such as Defiant Pictures, as an editor after studying film production at UCLA. Now, Felipe is working as director and editor for the documentary film "Palimpsest". The documentary is set to be screening in 2020.
