J. Calleja

He was born and raised in Puerto Rico. At the early stages of childhood Calleja was linked to films due to his family. His grandmother was a ticket seller in the local film theater and his uncles where the film projectionist. Calleja lived about a block from the theater so basically he was always in the theater. At the age of 10 his mother moved to New York where he lived for a few years and then came back to Puerto Rico where he started making "home movies" J.Calleja is a versatile filmmaker he has always explored his talents and between the home movies and school acting he took interest in other fields like; martial arts, music, theology, writing, graphic arts. J.Calleja has a B.A. in Communications and a Masters in Theology.
