Dave Terwische

David Terwische, professor of electronic media and film at Eastern Washington U., died June 24 of lung cancer. He was 59. Terwische taught at the university for 20 years and had previously been a professor at the U. of Arizona and at Southern Illinois U. He had taken the winter and spring quarters off from teaching to write a screenplay and discovered he had cancer. Through his teachings, Terwische helped launch hundreds of video and film production careers. His students have gone on to become sports announcers, television producers and sitcom writers.
