Miranda Cox

Miranda Cox was born in Newton, KS. She has two younger brother, Dak Deines & Myles Simon, and her parents Cecelia Simon & Erik Simon, who is her step-father. Her biological father is Andy Shivers. Miranda, known to her friends & family as "Mirambo" or "Mandie", began acting and singing at the tender age of 4. She began reciting lines and singing all the songs from The Little Mermaid. It was then that her family discovered her talents and her desire to entertain. During her adolescent years, Miranda began crafting her talent by taking acting, singing, and dance lessons. During high school, she was heavily involved in her school's drama department and participated in may theater productions. She was also involved in many sports activities, like soccer and cheer-leading. After high school, Miranda knew that she didn't want to live in Wichita,Ks forever. She decided, instead of going to college, she'd take a year off to figure out her calling. At the age of 19, she moved to Illinois. After a few years and minor set back, Miranda wanted to get back to what she knows best and knew her talent was being wasted by not practicing her craft. She started modeling for local photographers to get her feet wet again. While networking on Facebook, she started to send out online monologues to various local directors seeking female leads for their productions. It wasn't long until director Travis Legge noticed her talent and decided to hire her on the spot for his next project, a short film supplement for his video game Contagion. Miranda is a free agent actress, always looking for work and working on her acting skills. She is set to star in a Colin Clarke production in 2014.
