Ali Akbar Akbar Kamal

Born in Afghanistan, Ali Akbar has always had a passion for filmmaking. Ali eventually made his way to Canada where he would pursue his dream and attend Toronto Film School. He has successfully written and directed many short films, one winning Best Film at WildSound Film Festival. Ali's work also includes editing and after effects, allowing him to complete a lot of his own post production as well as other feature films. Most of his work can be found on his YouTube channel Makama Films. Ali Akbar wrote and directed his first feature film "Faceless" in 2016 and is currently working on post production for his second feature film "Godforsaken".
