Jonathan Mendonça

Jonathan is an actor, filmmaker and designer, graduated with honors from the School of Cinema and the Stanislavsky Institute, at the Latin American Film Institute. Accumulating experience on theater productions since the age of four, he has studied with some of the biggest Brazilian theater and research groups. He was also part of Capello CA production company, working as production assistant, cinematographer and editor, producing soundtracks and commercial jingles, making-of videos, music videos and television projects. Jonathan has quickly gained a reputation as a cutting-edge filmmaker after his short "Finito" was officially selected by the Cannes Film Festival. Actually, with more than 30 short films and music videos produced, having studied and worked alongside names like Eric Sherman (USA), Marjo-Riika Makela (FIN) and Jodi Nelson (UK), Jonathan dedicates his time to feature films. He worked as Tristan Aronovich's assistant director for the feature film "Crosses & Stars" and recently wrote and directed his first feature film "Finito", inspired by the short selected for Cannes, which is scheduled to debut in 2015.
