S.U. Arun Kumar

S. U. Arun Kumar is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in the Tamil film industry. He hails from Madurai, Tamil Nadu. After completing his diploma in E.C.E at Thanapandiyan Polytechnic College, he moved to Chennai. He then joined the Madras Institute of Technology to study Electronics and Communications engineering part-time while working in a telecommunications company at the same time. After graduating, he continued working for a year during which period he became interested in filmmaking. He made a few short films and joined the show "Naalaya Iyakunar". He was the runner up of the second season. Soon after, he went on to direct his first feature film "Pannaiyarum Padminiyum", which won 6 Tamil Nadu state awards and was featured in many international film festivals.
