He was given his first break at 16 when he made his first appearance on the De La Soul song "Words and Verbs" in 2001. His music has appeared in countless video games, films and TV shows including Madden NFL 09, Saint's Row IV, Captain Phillips starring Tom Hanks, Comedy Central's Workaholics, The Mindy Project, and CoverGirl commercials. KOVAS has also scored the beginning of Taylor Swift's 2013 MTV VMA award-winning music video "I Knew You Were Trouble" In 2017, KOVAS won a Clio Award (one of the highest honors in advertising) for a campaign he wrote, produced and starred in.
