Aswar Rahman

Aswar Rahman (born March 14, 1994) is a Bangladeshi-American independent filmmaker. Rahman has written and directed six feature-length films and is the founder of Cineapolis, a filmmaking organization dedicated to increasing feature production in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 2015, Rahman formed the Cineapolis coalition with actors and crew from the Twin Cities metropolitan area. The organization embarked on a dense production schedule of six films, all written and directed by him. Achilles (2015), Salone (2016), and The Best of India, Late at NIght (2016) are considered Cineapolis' first volume of productions. Rahman lives in Uptown Minneapolis.
