Brian DeAngelis is a Film Production Major and full-time student at UC Santa Cruz. He has spent his educational career producing, directing, editing, writing for, and acting in many independent and UCSC creative productions. With a background in film production, film/theater directing, video editing, audio recording/editing, and theater performance, he has acquired a diverse range of creative interests and enjoys working in each of these fields.
Brian has assisted in the production of SCTV28's "On the Spot," a local Santa Cruz television program which features several student based television shows broadcast both live and taped from UC Santa Cruz. As a member of the organization, he has produced, written, directed, edited, and acted for shows such as "Press Center Live," a live sketch comedy show broadcast every other Thursday at 8pm.
Brian also spent time as one of six members on the UCSC Program Review Committee which reviews all UCSC student media content prior to online publication and public broadcasting in accordance with FCC regulation and UCSC institutional code.
Most recently, Brian served as the financial chair and editor for UCSC's EyeCandy Film Journal which produces an annual publication of student works highlighting social, cultural, political, and economic happenings in the global film industry.
While he is not working on SCTV28 productions Brian produces various independent short films of his own, for which he acts as Producer, Director, Head Writer, Editor, and Lighting Designer. These films may be viewed on the official website for Brian DeAngelis Films.
