Larissa Figueiredo was born in 1988 in Brasilia, Brazil. She studied Literature at the University of Brasilia; Film Theory in the Université Lumière Lyon 2, in France, and Visual Arts/Cinema at the Haute École d'Art et Design de Genève, in Switzerland, where she had classes with some contemporary artists such as Miguel Gomes, Albert Serra and Apichatpong Weerasethakul. "The Bull" is her first feature film. It was awarded the Visions Sud Est fund and presented as a work-in-progress at the Carte Blanche section of the 67th Locarno International Film Festival. The film will have its World Premiere at the 44th International Film Festival Rotterdam. Larissa is now working in the development of her second feature film, "Agontimé", to be shot in Brazil and Africa.
